Import Excel File using MS SQL SERVER 2019
How to import an excel file to a centralized location for Extracting, transforming, and Load Data using Visual Studio Data tools 2019.
First, Create a Database or Data Warehouse database.
Create a database – If you don’t know how to create a database on MS SQL SERVER 2019 or other versions, read how to create a database blog
Right-click on the database name
- Tasks
- Import database
- On Data Source
- Select the type of file that you want to import
- Browse -> the path
- Select the version of software used
If you are having trouble with uploading excel, select version 97-2003.
MAKE SURE YOU OPEN THE FILE AND SAVE AS 97-2003 version
Click -> Next.
Select the Destination: SQL Server Native Client 11.0
Remember that you would have a different server.
Click -> Next.
Now you finished uploading data.
